always disabled even when enabled
Firefox 68.9.0esr, privacy possum ver 2019.7.18, on mac (High Sierra)
Despite the plugin being enabled (according to firefox preferences), every single site I visit, the plugin says "disabled" and does nothing.
(argh I don't actually know how to access the console for a specific extension, sorry)
in case there's a known conflict I'm not aware of, I'm also running Facebook Container and AdNauseum. (I have UBlock and TrackMeNot, but both are currently disabled.) I tried disabling all the other plugins, then various combinations of enable/disable. All Privacy Possum gives me is a consistent "disabled" note whenever I look to see what it's doing, regardless of what else is on or off.
Hello. I don'thave any involvement with the Privacy Possum add-on - I am just a user like you - but I'd like to offer a suggestion.
I'm assuming that when you say that the add-on says it is "disabled", you mean that when you click on the add-on's icon, a small panel is opened, where it says "DISABLED" next to the power icon (the circle with a vertical line at the top), and there is also the text "Disabled for this site" displayed below that - see the jpg file that I've attached here:
If that is the case, have you tried clicking once on the word "DISABLED" or the power icon next to it? Does that re-enable (text changes to "ENABLED") Privacy Possum for the web site that you are currently browsing? Or does it do nothing, and the word "DISABLED" remains?
This information would offer another data point that could help the developer to evaluate the problem - however, I do appreciate that if the add-on is saying it is "DISABLED" for every single site that you visit, then it would be a big inconvenience to have to manually re-enable it each time, and it may indicate that the problem is something related to the implementation on mac, or as you suggested, a conflict with another add-on!
Thanks for your time.
@k2lh I had the same thing happening to me in a TorBrowser (based on Mozilla Firefox 68.11.0esr), but just for a specific site/url. Privacy Possum worked everywhere else. I also have UBlock installed as you mention.
As a workaround I deleted/renamed storage.js preference file and restarted the browser which solved the issue (reset the preferences).

I press enable and then it works , but when i close the page and reopen it ,again PP is disabled this is in Firefox nightly
I am using Firefox 82.0.2 and when I first open it, Privacy Possum is enabled. However, opening a new tab, the new tab shows it DISABLED as shown in previous picture and there is no way to click on anything to enable it. Any solution to this problem?

@yd312 Thanks for your question. When you open a new tab in Firefox, does it open a blank page? If so, Privacy Possum is working correctly - it will show as DISABLED on the blank page of a new tab, because there is no content on the page, but after you navigate to a web page in the new tab, Privacy Possum should show it is ENABLED.
