Unicode error in search

unicode special characters like (ä ö ü) do not work in search

Movies with german umlauts are not displayed in the search. For example, a search for the following german movies: "Das Vermächtnis der Tempelritter" "Der Baron von Münchhausen" "Die Tränen des Mörders"

I can not switch kodi Interface-Settings to unicode. The character-set is set to default. In Exodus everything works fine, with the current settings.
