Here I am :) Well, it took me MUCH MORE than 10 days to consider this topic again...

I had a look at the thread you started on https://github.com/libfuse/libfuse/issues/72 and, if I understand correctly, the necessary first step is to submit a patch to the Linux kernel module "fuse.ko" and get it accepted

Do you have a working patch for recent (>= 4.7.0) kernels?

I found an alternative technique to support at least NTFS, and I am currently testing it. See issue #1

Tests converting from/to NTFS passed - see issue #1 :) Having FIEMAP in fuse can still be useful, but the most pressing need is solved.
