Forced Linebreaks

Currently forced line breaks \\ are not visibly shown in the editor and can also not be inserted. I think we should visualize them as a ¶ symbol. And maybe allow to insert them with CTRL-Enter or a menu button.

Any updates on this? I would love to have the ability to add forced linebreaks in the WYSIWYG editor by pressing Shift+Enter instead of having to type \\ (which isn't WYSIWYG-friendly at all).

I third this. I find it extremely hard on my eyes and brain to try to do these edits in markdown mode. PLEASE, could we have this?

I second this. This is so weird in daily usage. The very definition of WYSIWYG is... well... to get what we see. And we see line breaks in the editor that don't translate to line breaks in the final page.
