Copy/Paste Not functioning properly between different apps
Example using Firefox-system (pop-os) and Cosmic-Terminal.
expected behavior: -copy from one app (firefox) -clipboard populates contents to the clipboard -paste to other app (cosmic-terminal) the most recently populated contents of the clipboard
observed behavior: -copy from one app (firefox) -clipboard does not populate at all, or populates 5-30 seconds after the copy action is requested -attempted paste to other app does not happen. sometimes the app locks up and will not respond until the clipboard is clicked on and the most recent populated item is also clicked on. this will frequently free up the app that is being pasted to, but the paste still does not apply. If you then try to paste again (after the lock-up and clicking the clipboard manager, then clicking the last item) it will typically accept the last populated item as the paste-able contents and successfully paste them to the application (cosmic-terminal). This seems to work whether the newly copied item is in the clipboard, or whether its an older item.

Hi, just to mention that I feel like the issue is more present with browsers (firefox) or electorn-based apps (codium for instance, or others) where is sometimes leads to full app crash when pasting in. As if the "copy" did not completely end, sometimes "copying" in another window seem to "end" previous pending copy that can finally paste something.
It's very annoying int the sense that it's hard to reproduce precisely.
Came here to report the same issue, but saw this was already here. My experience is the same, right down to the detail of trying to copy from Firefox and paste to Cosmic Terminal etc.
Me too. Not only with Firefox. Sometimes it's impossible to cut&paste just with mouse selection, you are forced to use keyboard. Very annoying problem!
