Is it possible to install on Arch?
Trying to install on arch linux w cosmic desktop. When trying to install from the store it says it is missing a dependency.
When I try to install via flatpak directly after installing the dependency this is what I get
❯ flatpak install cosmic io.github.cosmic_utils.cosmic-ext-applet-clipboard-manager

Idk. I don't use arch but i think the applet only require a valid flatpak installation + the flathub and cosmic repos
I was testing out another applet in a vm and noticed I got this error when I had the cosmic-flatpak repo enabled but not the flathub repo from whence it pulls the runtime.
This issue occurs on my current Fedora installation as well, although this is from an installation where COSMIC was installed about a month after the base operating system, so it does not come from the official spin (the installation is from the KDE edition ISO of Fedora 42). In fact, I've only installed COSMIC yesterday, as of writing this.
I'm not an expert on Flatpak development, but the following part of the error produced on the command line suggests an invalid checksum being used in one part of the process:
Corrupted file object; checksum expected='cc700d46f407c6c5ab2d5dde474366a928b7398277e61162e7f8ec06f469f07e' actual='194420d44c511b99b60c2dec54f7f9d14a5bfbeb343da0f7619982209cea443c'

This is curious, I have a similar bug raised against my applet here.

In that case, I would maybe suspect that something changed in the Flatpak repository itself, as the repository metadata seems to have been updated only two days ago. This also appears to be a similar issue with the logo menu applet developed by cappsyco, since that is present in the COSMIC Flatpak repository as well:
$ flatpak install --user cosmic co.uk.cappsy.CosmicAppletLogoMenu

It might be a good idea to report this to the GitHub repository for the COSMIC Flatpak repository.
Any updates?
Installation works on CachyOS with COSMIC beta 1 when flathub remote is added to the user.
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists --user cosmic https://apt.pop-os.org/cosmic/cosmic.flatpakrepo
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists --user flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak install --user flathub org.freedesktop.Platform//24.08
flatpak install cosmic io.github.cosmic_utils.cosmic-ext-applet-clipboard-manager
Thank you, @GerritWanderer! In addition, you might need to run:
update-desktop-database
then go to settings -> Desktop -> Panel -> Configure panel applets and add the Cosmic clipboard manager
