Imported data can't be used for backlinks

I'm using the CRM app and have noticed when I import data (in this case, Contacts) if I use another Module (in this case, Quotes), when I attempt to make a new Quote and backlink the Contact, it doesn't show or let me input any of the contacts I imported. Strangely, if I click edit on the Contact then save without making any changes, it will show up.

This issue can be replicated with all imported data when trying to backlink it
