Scan won't upload: Promised response from onMessage listener went out of scope

The following exam currently has 208 copies:

I am trying to upload some more batches of copies. The first attempt failed on my computer with an out of memory. Later attempts are now failing as well, even when changing browser or computer (with more memory): the upload starts as usual, displays "Import en cours" -> 100%, then "insertion du fichier dans la base de données" turns for about a minute, and eventually aborts without message. In the console, I found:

Error: Promised response from onMessage listener went out of scope
Error: could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.
Error: Promised response from onMessage listener went out of scope

Any idea?

Nothing really urgent: we still need to finish grading the first 208 copies :-)
