Installing with the old installer (ubiquity) the screen 'Edit partition' allows formatting the partition but with subiquity the checkbox 'format' is grayed.

Same problem also with blue-recorder flatpak

I don't understand, you closed the problem but blue-recorder still doesn't work in Wayland
