ProtonVPN unable to download servers

Using Ubuntu 16.04 and Qomui v. 0.8.2

Whether or not Qomui has been previously installed or is a fresh install, it can take up to 30 or more attempts to download ProtonVPN servers.

Popup says: No Network Connection

Internet connection is working and usable- firewall is temporarily disabled- both Qomui firewall and additional firewall are disabled. Settings are saved after disabling firewall.

Automatic updates work fine.

Can download PIA servers no issue, but trouble with downloading ProtonVPN servers.

Must use credentials each time when updating. Credentials have previously been saved. Will not update for all users (from admin side).

Same results when connected to ProtonVPN or not using a vpn at all- but internet connection is still good and working, and no firewalls blocking internet access.

Can you elaborate? What do you mean by you need credentials when updating? Updating ProtonVPN servers?

When updating provider (clicking the download button)- each time must fill in username and password- even if the provider has already been saved.

Computer has two users- one is admin and the other is regular. Updating Qomui from admin side does not update for all other users. Must update/ download servers for each user individually. (Does not update system-wide - even with admin privileges.)

This really isn't a big deal- the main issue is that there needs to be multiple attempts (not just one or two tries, but upward as 30 tries) to get ProtonVPN servers to download/ update.

So, even though ProtonVPN has already been saved as a provider (with username and password), if I don't add that just prior to trying to update (clicking the download button)- if it does download, can't connect to those servers. Must use username and password each time before clicking the download button.
