coroot doesn't reconnect to prometheus after temporary downtime

I've seen multiple occasions now where coroot seemingly disconnects from prometheus during a temporary prometheus or network outage .

The ui mentions "Prometheus is $time behind ", after restarting coroot it catches up

It feels like after a certain timeout, coroot stops trying to connect to prometheus and thus never recovers. Is this a parameter to configure ?

Should coroot trigger it's own incident ?
