Current Implementation

Suggested Enhancement

Only once I was asked for my identity card to show with my certificate. That was no problem for me. But my partner forgot his card. So it would be a nice idea to be able to take a photo of both sides of the identity card and safe it with the certificate.

Expected Benefits

You have both together. Identity card and certificate.

Crazy suggestion: Take a photo with your phones camera app 😄 As @dsarkar stated, this seems to be unlikely to get implemented, see also https://github.com/corona-warn-app/cwa-wishlist/issues/459

Imho It would be sufficient enough to have just the ID-photos (the photo on the ID, not the whole ID) signed by the certificate signer. But: getting a photo in an qr code is pretty hard

In my opinion it would be enough to have the ability to store/link the photo within the covid app. I don't want that everybody has to add it, But the ability.

If this gets implemented despite the potential data protection complications, it would be nice to only be able to add the ID card by scanning it via NFC, unlocking it with our ID's PIN. This would make it harder to just make a photo of an ID of someone who looks similar to me.
