[Failure] Gigabyte GA-H110M-H Rev 1.0

Open Derpitron opened this issue 8 months ago • 1 comments

Motherboard model: Gigabyte GA-H110M-H Rev 1.0 BIOS Chip: Macronix mz25l6473fm2i-08g BIOS ver: OEM F28a (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H110M-H-rev-10-11-12/support#support-dl) Intel ME ver: 11.8.94.4494 (generation 3) CPU: Intel i3 7100

Boot guard, secure boot, disabled. I used a Ch341a programmer to flash the bios chip.

Removal modes tested:

  1. -S (code removal + set HAP bit): Black screen (no signal) on boot. Spools the system fans, they seem to change speed, but there is no display output (No Signal). After leaving it for a few minutes, it doesn't change from this state.
  2. -s (set HAP bit): Boots up to the Vendor Logo, then immediately restarts the PC+fans. Bootloop.
  3. default mode (code removal): Same as -S mode above, i.e No Signal and refuses to boot up.

This method might work, but using UEFITool I wasn't able to find the required code section
