Γ has different height on Windows Notepad

Problem

I know it is difficult to investigate, but \Gamma has different height on Windows Notepad (size 11).

This is best seen when compared to the capital t, T, since they both have the same height on Julia Terminal or VS Code. I can provide images again if they are of any help. I can also try more glyphs.

JuliaMono I don't know how to check my version, but I'd swear it is the latest.

Julia I have the latest Julia (v1.7.1)

The rendering in Notepad isn't too bad (some of the \bb glyphs are the oddest) but I can't see any evidence of dramatically different dimensions.

I'll leave this open until more clues emerge!

Seems safe to chalk this up to Notepad's font rendering being broken.

Thanks for doing this... I think it must be that.

I just haven't got the skill, energy, or time to do manual hinting for the font, and the automatic hinting does odd things sometimes. And it makes me unhappy seeing the outlines mangled by OS font-rendering - it's like looking in a really unflattering mirror... :)

But don't worry! Except for that, everything works fine in JuliaFont and it's awesome!

Maybe one day a person with the skill, enegy and time will be able to look into this 😉
