as for me, pros of having a discord bot interacting with the site's API to give user information about animes and other stuff is also good. i don't see any cons of having it. But maybe the only cons is...time to maintenance the bot(?)

Yepp thats what i thought tooo :D. But currently we dont have a discord server dedicated to this project. I will probably make the server after i buy the domain :), after that we can work full time on this bot :)

I am planning to code the Discord bot in the next few months.

What features are we looking for?

Over the top of my head some useful features should be :

1. Anime Lookup
2. Character Lookup
3. Staff ( People ) Lookup
4. Discord + Tracker profile lookup? ( we should allow users to customize this )
5. Playing J-Pop,Anime OST from SoundCore ( i haven’t coded this yet )

Some moderation capabilities :

1. Raid protection ( i have a good idea on how to properly implement this )
2. Add a verified badge ( those who have synced their discord account with our backend )
3. Captcha verification?

While i agree with you on this ( partially ). Discord has the better community for our case. So i will prioritize discord over telegram
