Email to [email protected] bounces

I tried to email [email protected], and I received the error 510 The group 'cii-badges-questions-owner' does not exist. I was trying to contact them to have the project stop emailing me.

Happy to help. The only reason the badge project would email is because you've elected to start working on getting a badge, but haven't made any progress for a while; in that case we occasionally send reminders. Our hope is that you'd make more progress, however, you can also log in & turn off email reminders. If you want to disable the reminders, edit relevant badge entry and turn this on:

Disable inactivity reminder (we recommend you leave this unchecked; note that project entries must be edited to change whether or not reminders are sent)

Hi @david-a-wheeler thanks for the reply. That's what I tried to do before opening emailing the admin; I should have said that from the start. The issue is I've tried to login two ways: 1) via github oAuth and 2) asked for a password reset which I never received. With the github oauth it did not give me an editable dialog on that page. What do I do now?

@bmbouter - that shouldn't happen, but you already knew that :-).

Would you please tell me which project badge entries (e.g., the URL on the badge application)? If you don't want it posted publicly, email me at [email protected]. I'd like to resolve the immediate issue (unwanted emails), then try to figure out why the password reset doesn't work for us. We don't control GitHub's login system, so if you can't log into GitHub, you'll need to take things up with GitHub :-).

After some offline help from @david-a-wheeler I learned that you have to click 'Edit' at the top if you want to edit. I didn't understand this.

So the only issue here is that the [email protected] email bounces.
