Sidebar mode

It would be cool if it was possible to show the share popup in the sidebar instead of covering up the page with a popup. Chrome has a new Side Panel API, and Opera/Firefox have similar APIs: https://developer.chrome.com/blog/extension-side-panel-launch/

However, this blog post mentions that opening the sidebar programmatically isn't live in Chrome yet, and that would be required: https://developer.chrome.com/en/blog/extension-news-july-2023/

Ideally this should be an option alongside the existing popup, but I'm not sure if external pages can be loaded in the sidebar, and maintaining all the browser-specific sidebar code might be too complicated.
