Dynamic match and replace?

Hello! Love the extention as it really makes LaTeX prettier in vscode. I was wondering if it is already possible or might become possible to regex the ugly string and rebuild with some of it's parts. For example:

\ket{u} = |u⟩

The hsnips extention (https://github.com/draivin/hsnips) is able to this in some capacity which makes for much better and dynamical snippets. An obsidian (note-taking app for markdown) extention called LaTeX Suite (https://github.com/artisticat1/obsidian-latex-suite#conceal) does exactly what I am thinking of and has the same propperty of just concealing the text, not changing it. any of you know how to do this please tell me. If it is not implemented yet, will it ever?
