can it work along with grappelli?

Hello, alphabetfilter works fine until I add grappelli to INSTALLED_APPS. One curious thing is that alphabetfilter does show an incorrecly vertical formated output (new lines separating each letter) when I have a search_fields attribute set on the ModelAdmin class, otherwise it looks like it was never installed.

This is probably due to the fact that Grapelli has very different CSS and markup than the normal Django admin.

I don't use Grapelli personally so I can't help you with the differences. The alphafilter is designed to go in the date_hierarchy block, and has CSS specified in its template.

If you create a different change_list.html template for grapelli, I'll be happy to include it

Yeah thats what I suspected, thanks for the info and your useful app, I think it should be part of Django by default.
