Battery drain and overheating solution

Open twolfer opened this issue 6 years ago • 6 comments

I made a few tests (with the valuable aid of Reddit users) to find the culprit.

When I’m on Electra 1.0.4:

  • iPhone SE iOS 1.1.2
  • TweakInjector downgraded to 1.0.3
  • PreferenceLoader downgraded to v2.2.3
  • No battery issues.

When I go back to Electra 1.0.3:

  • iPhone SE iOS 1.1.2
  • TweakInjector 1.0.4 (latest)
  • PreferenceLoader v2.2.3
  • Still no battery issues.

The moment I update any of those two, the problems start.

Hope this helps, thank you for your service. :)

PS: Some users with different iPhone models reported there that just having TweakInjector downgraded to 1.0.3 was enough to stop the drain, but I’m unsure of their Electra Jailbreak version.

I noticed it’s a bit random sometimes.

I installed CocoaTop to monitor the CloudDocs process that causes the drain/overheating.

When it reapers I reinstall the downgrades as mentioned and allgoes back to normal: https://imgur.com/a/VVOfF

I tried other things like disabling iCloud processes with no success. (╯︵╰)

After lots of tests with mixed results I believe it’s fixed.

Try this, please:

1 - Install Apple maps if you don’t have it already. 2 - Upgrade to the latest Electra 1.0 .4 and reboot 3 - Instal the latest tweeks of everything, that includes Injector and LibSupport. 4 - Install iClean and reactivate all the daemons, even the ones you don’t use (its on the bottom left + tab and then click Launch Daemons). 5 - Reboot and check iClean to make sure they are really enabled. 6 - Use CocoaTop to monitor if CloudDocs is not overheating the CPU again.

This should fix it all. :)
