Hello LEDE Developers,
I would like to request device support for the Sagemcom Fast 5866T router/modem.
Device Information:
- Model: Sagemcom Fast 5866T
- Brand: Sagemcom
- Type: 5G CPE / Router
- Chipset / Platform: Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 (SDX55, possibly combined with IPQ807x)
- CPU Architecture: ARM64 (quad-core)
- Memory: 1 GB RAM
- Storage: 256 MB NAND Flash
- Wi-Fi: Dual-band (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz, Wi-Fi 6 capable)
- Ports: 1 × WAN/LAN (RJ-45), 2 × LAN, USB-C (power/data)
- OS (stock): Sagemcom OEM firmware based on Android/Linux
Reason for request: The Sagemcom Fast 5866T is a common 5G home router distributed by several ISPs in Asia and Europe. It has good hardware capabilities and is based on a Qualcomm platform that is already partially supported in OpenWrt (IPQ807x/SDX55). Adding support would enable community development, improved performance, and open-source firmware options for users.
What I can provide for developers:

Some versions of the Fast 5866T already run QWRT/QSDK, and I don't know how the seller bypasses it.

If you have the original/stock firmware for the 5866T, could you share it with me?
By looking at the information above, it seems that the device uses eMMC, not a 256 MB NAND flash. Based on the model number 8GTF4R, the eMMC appears to be a Samsung 8 GB eMMC (8GTF4).
I don’t currently own the device, but I plan to purchase it and attempt a firmware dump. However, this may be challenging because the eMMC is a BGA package, which requires advanced soldering skills that I lack.
