Feture request: `--silent` flag

It would be great if there was a silent flag available

What would that do that's different from > /dev/null?

@ljharb not sure if this is enough of a reason, but enable similar behavior to > /dev/null on Windows?

@webketje ah, that's a fair point - does the windows cmd shell not have a way to redirect output?
