~~I removed the second bullet point about the background, sorry:~~ ~~- the dark square box is right, that's part of the icon~~ ~~- it's just whitespace that actually not is the background of the icon~~

I finally decided to go with my first approach

• remove the dark rounded square bg so it's the same apperance as on: https://podman-desktop.io/

No good on ChromeOS Flex:

Even worser on Windows 11:

barely recognizable...
