Description

Calls to keep quality control of elements up to date are occurring when the DAV or QCV are not opened. This may cause slower performance. Investigate whether it is possible to only update when either the DAV or QCV are opened so that the results are still consistent but the rest of the application can be performant.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open QCV
2. new graph -> build sphere graph
3. close QCV
4. Move a node/ make a node selection.

Expected behaviour: No QCV update plugin is ran

Actual behaviour: plugin is ran every time

Reproduces how often: 100%
