The action only keeps loading and eventually fails after 24 hours with a timeout. No artifact is generated in the end. Is the problem on my side — did I miss filling in something — or could there be an issue in the process itself?

Not sure, it's been a while since I've used this. Does it work if you run it locally?

Try running Playwright in headed mode and see what's going on.

Maybe stack overflow have changed their login page.

Or more likely they're more aggressively blocking bots in the advent of scraping data for AI

If so might be able to get it working by swapping out Chromium for Camoufox https://camoufox.com/python/usage/
