After merging two entities into one, all related entities unfortunately remain double.

I don't remember if... and after searching I reckon this issue never came up before? After merging to the new entity all relations to the same objects, which were common to both entities, should appear only once each. But they remain double. See pictures: For example the provenance Yaxhom (YXM) and Yaxhom (YHM) were the same. I merged them to Yaxhom (YXM). But both Provenances were connected to the same artefacts. For example to artefact Yaxhom, Jamb 1 (YXM: Jmb. 1). After merging I had one new Provenance but these two relations remained. And so the new merged entitiy has many double relations to the same artifact. I had to delete them manually in the browser. Actually this is not be the way it should be. Double relations should be deleted by the process of merging. Can you check this? YXM-jpg YHM-jpg YXM-RelationsDouble-jpg

I understand that you are surprised by this behavior, but I'm afraid, this is how the process was designed: Since relationships can have properties (and by now also datings), we implemented the feature so that the merged entity would have the combined relationships of its progenitors. This would allow deciding manually which relationships should be kept. The same applies to entity datings and the dataset.

I'll make this a feature for a more elaborate comparison so that some of the relationship duplicates could be removed automatically.

Okay, I see. So until any changes for this feature are done I will proceed like I did. Thanks.
