slightly modify Comic at end of README
The current version is a bit off-color. Would it be possible to modify the image slightly?

The image is linked directly from XKCD and I cannot really see a difference. Could it maybe be something on your side?
@BastianZim, apologies for not being clearer. I edited the comic in PowerPoint to remove the reference to pornography at the very end. That's what I meant by off-color.
Ahh ok now I understand what you mean. To be honest I would prefer the original as this falls under artistic freedom but it should probably be decided by @conda-forge/core
Edited: Wording
Looks like xcdk comics are licensed under Creative Commons.
The terms state:
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
So we'd need to keep the link and say that we slightly altered the comic.
Ahh sorry now I have to clarify myself. I would keep it as is since it captures the spirit of the XKCD and thought that the wording is artistic freedom that we should tolerate. :) But just a personal opinion.
I did get that :) just wanted to point out that removing the link & just modifying the image might not be OK with the license. Personally, I don't mind either option -- keeping, changing or removing.
I'm OK with the change but I guess we need an attribution and a note or something to reflect that we modified it.
I agree with the motivation here, but I'm not very comfortable with the idea of modifying someone else's art, even in this limited fashion. I think it might be better just to remove the comic. At the end of the day we're talking about a totally superfluous joke — if it causes us any headaches, it's not meeting the cost/benefit test.

xkcd is released under CC BY-NC 2.5 and explicitly allows this: https://xkcd.com/license.html
I added the links to the original and the xkcd license page. I figured a
tag underneath the image worked well.
I don't have strong feelings here, but would lean towards Peter's suggestion of just dropping it.

Probably an easier solution. I'm OK with that too.
For reference, this is how it appears with the latest commit:
xkcd 1629: Tools
