Pushing a new release with 1.8.0 fails

When pushing a new release with 1.8.0, the task fails with error 500:

error running command: POST https://api.github.com/repos/cloudfoundry/csb-brokerpak-aws/releases: 500 []

Pinning the concourse/github-release-resource image to tag 1.7.2, and re-running the pipeline with the exact same configuration resolves the issue.
