Possibility for new version of board to use FPGA/STM32

Is it possible to minimize the board in terms of non-using BBB but some more advanced integrated chips FPGA/STM32? thanks!

That was my intention of this PCB, but the firmware needs to be. I have also looked at an ESP32 based PCB as they are more available. written.https://github.com/computergeek1507/PB_16/tree/master/Teensy_16_SMD
