Ip not showing in log

Where the ip is supposed to be there is just - - -. With varnish-3.0.4 revision 9f83e8f and Apache/2.2.15 (Unix). Apache log example: : - - - [10/Sep/2013:11:16:14 +0200] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 210 "-" "Mozilla/5.0+(compatible; UptimeRobot/2.0; http://www.website.com/)

are you using cloak.vcl? if you are running apache on the same box then security.vcl will remove x-forwarded-for and such
