Listen: Indicator for how long a clip will play
if there are several seconds of pause at end of recording, checker may try to press "yes" button and he cannot. this may be considered uncomfortable.
may be this intentional with purpose to check whether there are some big errors after the sentence is pronounced, for example additional words.
then, since that is rare case, i would like it is possible to recheck the recordings in current batch of 3 or 5.
3rd way to improve it ( 1. allow to press earlier, 2. rechecking ) is to show current position of playing, so that checker see it and does not attempt to press. ending of recording is already shown with green color, but pressing some time before it is green works, so i attempt to press it, but i cannot always guess it right.
Thanks for your thoughts on this, I can see how it can be a bit uncomfortable. But then again we want to be sure that there's no further utterance, so that suffering is necessary.
The other thing you're bringing up is an undo feature for validations, which is captured in #780.
I do personally see value in having an indicator for how long the recording still takes, so let's use this issue to track it. Wdyt @mbransn?

+1! Yes, let's get a visual indicator on the screen as a clip is played. I do feel that we've conversed about this in the past and had some back/forth re: which direction the indicator would go... the suggestion at the time was to have a loader-style bar at the top of the sentence card to indicate playback progress. @Gregoor do you have further thoughts there?
It would be nice to see a simplified waveform to indicate position and duration. This would help a user know when the clip has long silence at the beginning or end as well. Maybe replace the current wigly waves at the bottom of the screen. [edit] Something like this https://wavesurfer-js.org/
