Timeline gaps

Describe the bug Sometimes when opening a room, there will be a gap in the room timeline

To Reproduce Not super clear on how to reproduce this one yet. I have only noticed it on android after moving to new matrix sdk database. So its probably either coming from new database, or more likely from using the sdk in background when fetching notifications.

This might have been resolved in #210 by disabling the sync loop in a background service. I'll keep this open for a while to wait and see if it comes up again
