Your question

Hello,

I've currently installed ComfyUI, but due to adjustments in storage space, I would like to move the installation folder to a different path.

Could you please guide me through the correct steps and highlight any important considerations for changing the ComfyUI installation folder? Are there any recommended practices or issues to avoid?

Thank you very much for your assistance!

Best regards, Yu-Chi

I would like to move the installation folder to a different path.

ComfyUI has no registered 'path'. Just copy ComfyUI folder to place you want - and run launching bat file.

Did you install Desktop Version? If you are using Portable Version, then it is portable literally.

Hi there, assuming you are on Windows, the Desktop app itself will always install to %APPDATA%. That said, the best way to free up space would be to move models and other large files to the other drive.

You can add any extra paths to scan for models to the extra paths config files: https://docs.comfy.org/installation/desktop/windows#adding-external-model-paths
