How to modify the input folder? Add subfolders

Im trying to add 2 subfolders in the input folder (images, videos) so they get recognized by the nodes if I want to upload images or videos. Is this possible? Should I edit the folder_paths.py?

Alternatively, Im ok with having to upload everytime intead of choose my files, but after upload, the file is copied in the root input folder. And if im uploading from a subfolder, im ending up with 2 same files. Perhaps there is a workaround this.
