Using Nanab Berry in-battle resets game

Nanab Berry can be obtained outside of Rock Tunnel, on the southern side of Route 10. Using it out-of-battle produces the text of Professor Oak saying not to use it (when it should be Ronnie). Attempting to use it in-battle makes the game reset.

This is admittedly something unlikely to be encountered. I did because I was trying to waste a turn in battle and was looking for something useless, but most people aren't going to do this. Still, an odd thing.
