Is "Monocle3" feasible for understanding the disease progression ?

Hello All,

I have single cell samples from different disease stages and would like to understand the trajectory in terms of progression.

Mostly this tool uses root cell from development stage/ embryonic time

But in my case is it feasible to give early stage as my root cell? Any suggestion?
