Add more runtime control over features

Open coldfix opened this issue 8 years ago • 2 comments

The following actions should be possible to perform at runtime using hotkeys and menu items:

Features:

  • [ ] make config reloadable at runtime (?)
  • [x] enable/disable automounting (#98) [70e72f8b3b1cbae4c62ad4c67cd5c07578ece896]
  • [x] enable/disable notifications [c6b168ca4dcc7b3ef9b644c7d292a47a4183e704]
  • [ ] switch between smart-tray / permanent tray (?)

Meta:

  • [x] expose extra options only on right-click [990cfa37e5e97949671fb0b6feffcf11a9b9a83d]

hotkeys should be configurable in the config file

Could be cool to have a button in the systray menu for toggling automount and notifications.

nm-applet hides common settings (e.g. toggle wifi) under a right-click menu on the systray icon. If that's feasible it might be a good way to keep clutter out of the primary menu.

Sounds reasonable.
