Cannot set Thermostat to ON/OFF using Alexa

First, Thank you for this wonderful project!

I have configured a Thermostat device, but, cannot change the mode (Cool/Heat/etc..), neither the Power state (On/Off) using Alexa.

Also, when reporting state as OFF, the device will not be controllable anymore through Alexa, unless reported again as On (Cool/Heat etc..).

Could someone overcome this issue?

Any help appreciated.
