Reuse page bloks contents

Hi, It would be good to be able a option to allow users can reuse page blocks contents that have been previously used. You could add a "reuse" button next to "add block content" button and show a list with the existing blocks so that the user can select one. image

Thanks for the suggestion. I imagine that most content wouldn't be good candidates for re-use such as title, body text or image placement, so what sort of content might you want to re-use? Is it within the same template or globally?

I can see that certain content may be good to re-use, e.g. a "current offers" banner or "breakout advertisment", but you might want to manage and update that from one place as "global content", or some sort of content managed layout.

I'm interested to hear use-cases here.

Hi. I want to reuse "Footer" block type. I have multiple templates for different pages (f.e. home, projects), but want to use one footer for all of them. Am I missing something and maybe it's possible right now? Right now footer info is hardcoded into global _Layout, but I think a custom entity can be created for this purpose and accessed by inserting viewcomponent in all templates, that's the only way it can be implemented, as I see it.

Hi @VladMstv , I think this issue is really referring to copying block content already used in other pages. I've opened up #358 for global content blocks, which I think is what your describing
