Favicon.ico doesn't get displayed in browser

The favicon isn't actually showing up in the browser. Chrome, for example, just shows the default paper favicon instead of a custom favicon.

Seems to work for me. 🤔 Chrome keeps a cache of favicons, so it could be this.

I mean, this may not be the issue, but if you opened the page before you'd added the favicon link then it's likely Chrome cached it.

Worked for me as well. Probably a caching issue, but I would recommend using .png instead. Changing the filename may bust the cache too.

Hmm... I tried both of your recommendations, but I still can't seem to get it to work. I tried using a .png, tried renaming it, and tried a few different browsers (Chrome/FireFox/Opera, both normal and private).

If it's just me, I'll close out the issue. Just curious what one might need to do to overcome this in the future. Any other ideas?

Yeh, that's weird if you've tried other browsers. 🤔 Not really sure about what else it could be.
