Filter by score: sliders or other visual UI instead of two numbers?

When creating a filter you can specify minimum and maximum score, each of which is a value from 0 to 1. Scoring has been a source of confusion, and the linked meta post suggests a more visual approach to indicating what you want in the filter: a temperature bar like on the posts list, with "start' and "end" sliders. See the meta post for more discussion.

We did add some guidance to the existing widget (ranges and a link to the scoring help) after this discussion started, but I think it's worth exploring this idea in the future. I'm marking it low priority but don't want to lose it entirely (hence filing this issue).
