Make typing long comments easier

Comments can be up to 500 characters, but the textbox is small so writing/editing longer ones can be difficult. This request is to do something to make that easier, which could be:

• auto-enlarge the box when the character count reaches certain thresholds

• just make the box bigger always

• give the user a control to expand it (I think this is both the worst UX and the hardest, but including for the sake of completeness)
