Updating the kata rank descriptions.
- Removed examples that aren't relevant (e.g There is currently only one task under the Concurrency tag)
- Added links to kata showing examples of the topics. I tried to pick quality kata without, but a few need to be updated to new js and python frameworks.
- I changed the color descriptions to be a little less harsh (Beginner->Beginner, Novice->Intermediate, Competent->Advanced, Proficient->Expert)
- I mixed up the word variety a bit. I am in my 1st year of programming; you might want to review the Kyu challenge-level descriptions for accuracy (e.g Idk if 2kyu is actually a professional rank. )
- Let me know if I need to ask the authors for permission, I understand if someone doesn't want their kata displayed for example.
Hello,
You used the rank descriptions available in the beta process? (most are completely out of place, compared to how kata are currently approved, unfortunately)
Cheers
No, I looked around the site for a guide on what to write (e.g removing concurrency)
Is there a separate place I need to update for the descriptions that show up with beta voting?
Descriptions mention many practical topics as kata were expected to be (i believe) more technical skill assessment tasks rather than algorithmic challenges.
hobovsky you mentioned in the discord that the example kata wasn't up to expectations. Did you mean how I described the katas or the examples I chose to link to?
Preview: here.
@hobovsky How do things look? The dead link has been fixed, and all of the others work.
I know it's been quite a while, but the page still needs to be updated... is everything ok to merge?
