Truncate shortcode in shortcode popup

Open JohnPixle opened this issue 3 months ago • 2 comments

In the shortcode popup, can we truncate the text of the shortcode in order to make it fill in a single line? Users will be able to see it if they select it anyway, but most of the cases they will just copy it through the button.

We can cut it off, sure. Is it worth having a scroll bar in there?

One thing to keep in mind is that I believe copy functionality does not work for websites that use HTTP instead of HTTPS – hopefully something that's pretty rare these days, but it should still be functional without.

Nah, I don't think a. scrollbar is necessary. User should be able to select the shortcode text anyway, and the UX is common/ familliar.
