hey code snake I've build your OE for M8 but PVR add-ons are not enabled, how do I go about building this with the PVR enabled? thanks for the help.

Since OE 6.0 you need to install needed PVR addons first.

Well still no luck, when you say I need to install addons first, is that after I build from source?

What branch you are building. If you are building from master branch you need to install the required PVR addons from OpenELEC addon repository.

this is what I did. in terminal on Ubuntu, I git cloned your repo. then I just typed, ARCH=arm PVR=yes PROJECT=amlogic DEVICE=M8 make amlpkg.... I guess there is probably more advance setting I need to do, I'm trying to google what to do but I'm at a loss.. and yes it is from master branch

After flashing the build you need to install the required PVR addons on the box from OpenELEC addon repository. You don't need to build them.

I don't know why but I cant even open that repo on the box. ill try another rebuild maybe something went wrong... I really appreciate your time. sorry if I'm wasting it.

Have you tired ARCH=arm PVR=yes PROJECT=amlogic DEVICE=MX2 make amlpkg

pigbait avatar Jul 27 '15 16:07 pigbait

You don't need the PVR=yes as it does nothing. Still no sure how it works

pigbait avatar Jul 27 '15 16:07 pigbait

Thank you for the line. When i try that in terminal i get *** No rule to make target 'amlpkg' . stop. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue. Unable to install a pvr add-on because there isn't one to install. Openelec repo greyd out, and on my addons there is no pvr link

hi, does anybody find a solution here. I build last night with latest master pull from github ( 6.0 beta) and update from 5.0.3 I not able to find VNSI over the official repo, PVR folder is empty & also a search bring no hits. is there any way to re -add the kodi repo or other way to check why the addon not appears ( I´ve a other box with an official built openelec beta release, there was no problem after update to install VNSI)
