Can someone tell me how to build?

I am looking to build the MX2 release from source (I'm extremely new to this and want to make a few changes to the code for the sake of getting my feet wet)

Can someone tell me how to compile the MX2 release specifically?

Is it different from the Generic release on the forums?

At the moment i am running openelec 5.0.3. i want to update to 5.0.8. I have downloaded the files but dont know how to updated. I am very new to this site and i am truly lost. Can someone put me in the right direction

Hello codesnake I am running 5.0.3 and trying to update to 5.0.8. When I download the file of git and unzip it I do not see the target folder With the 4 files. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thank you
