some binaries compiled for the raspbery pi wont run

Open Vaevictus opened this issue 10 years ago • 2 comments

Hi,

some background:

There is a python plugin for XBMC called pulsar, which ships with a closed source binary executable "pulsar".

The pulsar binary has been compiled under some sort of cross compiling environment to run on the raspberry pi.

Unfortunately, running the same binary as-is fails on your openelec image for this board.

I was wondering if you know any tricks to get the binary to run on your supported boards in this fork, particularly the CMX, or if I have to rely on the author of pulsar to do it at compile time

Thanks

What version of OE do you use?

so the author of the plugin got back to me and it's because I am possibly running a softfp version of your openelec build. I will update to the newest release (which is now hardfp) after the holidays and see if it works and report back here
