SD without HW acceleration problem

Hi, i'm from Argentina. First sorry for my english.

I have a problem with my STB (Tronsmart Vega S89-H). I flashed with Openelec 6.0.0.1 and everything is right and work very well except two things.

  1. Remote Control is not responding.

  2. This product uses AMLOGIC. When i play a HD streaming (720p or 1080p) in Codecinfo show AM-H264 (Hardware Aceleration) and work amaizing. But when i play a SD ( < 720p ) streaming they uses FF-H264 (Software Aceleration) automatically and the video is poor. How can force to use Hardware Aceleration with SD videos?

Unfortunately currently you cannot opt out to use HW decoding for SD content, because it is hardcoded in Kodi.

Hi codesnake, thanks for answer.

The only way to actívate the HW ACCELERATION is trascode the stream from SD signal to 720p HD signal, and that Works fine.

There is a way to modify kodi to actívate de HW for SD video? Can you help me please? Thanks.
