Vite template crashes with status code 1

Description of the problem

The current example of the Vite template on the official site doesn't fully load. The preview shows an error and then displays a generic "Something went wrong" message.

I confirmed I also get the same result with a very basic setup following the getting started instructions.

Can confirm the latest vite seems broken, will try looking into this today otherwise monday
