Upload vacancy data not from Open Data?

I have some vacancy data in xls of vacant properties in the Blue Hills neighborhood. Can we upload this from Excel if it's not from Open Data?

Eric had a good questionaire about taking in new datasets. In overall though, I'm always concerned about pulling in data that can be changed, but isn't assigned to an API, as you have no guarantee when the app will be deployed with the new data.

Where did the data come from? Was the data licensed before it was obtained? What is the plan to update the data? (For taking in flat source files, expect at least two weeks for updated data, as the entire app would have to be redeployed) Is there an existing API we can add the data to?

This data came from a survey that LISC funded. Blue Hills is really the only neighborhood that will have this extra dataset. This is sort of a one-time snapshot dataset just for that neighborhood that will likely just be used by the organizations in that area. It won't be updated in the next few years. No API for it, just the spreadsheet.
